sUAS Construction Build Class — 1 Week MTT
$24,999.00
1-week instructor-led MTT (Mobile Training Team) for 10 students. Foundational electronics → drone build → improvised firing switch + payload integration → range day. Each student gets a complete build kit with their own radio transmitter and FPV goggles. All parts, kits, and instructor travel included.
Description
Hands-On 1-Week sUAS Build Class for Bomb Technicians
This 1-week Mobile Training Team (MTT) course delivers foundational electronics and end-to-end FPV / loitering-style drone construction directly to your unit. Each of 10 students walks out with a flight-ready quad they assembled themselves, an integrated improvised firing switch wired into a servo-actuated inert payload release, and a working understanding of the RF/control links and component-level architecture used across the modern sUAS threat ecosystem.
The build profile mirrors community-standard 5-inch FPV / loitering platforms using bulk-sourced components. Public safety bomb techs leave with the same hands-on familiarity their HDS Post-Blast and Render Safe doctrine assumes — built on the same workbench skills the threat actors use.
Daily Structure
- Day 1 — Electronics Refresher. Ohm’s law, components, soldering bench drills, multimeter use, LiPo safety. Series/parallel test board.
- Day 2 — Improvised Initiation Systems. Microswitch, magnetic reed, tilt, tripwire, light/IR, mercury-simulator. Each switch wired into a low-voltage gate driving a relay/MOSFET — the same circuit topology that drives a payload servo.
- Day 3 — Drone Build I: Frame, Power, Motors. Frame assembly, motor mounting, 4-in-1 ESC wiring, XT60 power harness, smoke-stop test.
- Day 4 — Drone Build II: FC, RX, VTX, Camera. Betaflight flash + config, ExpressLRS bind, VTX channel/power, FPV camera alignment. RF link block: 868/915 MHz ELRS, TBS Crossfire, 2.4 GHz, 5.8 GHz analog vs digital.
- Day 5 — Payload, Switch Integration, Range. Servo-actuated bomblet release with inert 3D-printed payload (STLs included). Outdoor maiden flight + payload drop on range.
